About a 2 hour hike. 3.8 miles. From St George, head north on I-15 for about 9 miles and take exit 10 to Washington. Turn left onto Green Springs Drive and take an immediate right onto Buena Vista Blvd. Follow Buena Vista for about 1 mile and turn left onto the dirt road immediately after the fire station. Follow this dirt road for about 1.2 miles and it will meet up with another dirt road that is heading north-south. Turn left onto this dirt road and follow it for about 0.6 miles and your will come to the gate and trailhead.

If you prefer a different kind of walking, there is golfing-a-plenty in St George.

Bloomington has a course available to guests.

Sun River Golf course is just 15 minutes south but worth the challenge.

About unit (#2109):

This is a top floor condo located in the Cedar Breaks Lodge, which is operated by Diamond Resorts, offering the area's premier winter and summer accomodations.

The space has a compact kitchen with a two burner stove, microwave, toaster oven (cooks pizza 8" Totinos style), fridge, sink and service for 6.

You'll discover one full bath with a jetted tub/shower combo, heat lamp, and vanity with the convience of a built in hair dryer.

Space in the entry allows you to store 4-6 sets of skis/boots/poles. The resort also has a ski equipment room that can be used to store skis and board equipment, if you prefer.


The living area:

This suite has a super comfortable king bed as well as a sofa sleeper- sleeps 1-4 persons

A game/dining table faces a wall mounted TV. The stunning views from the large picture window look out over the open mountain and red cliffs of the Yankee Meadows area down the canyon. The unforgettalbe sunsets will amaze you.


Access and Parking:

All guests check in at the main lodge for room keys to this unit, located in building #2, on the 3rd floor, conveniently adjacent to the elevator. Underground parking is availalbe on a first-come, first-served basis.

Red Sands Retreat is the 'Gateway House' to the Sand Hollow area and is one of the greater St George areas best kept secrets!

The welcoming feeling when you enter the court yard and pass through the massive iron doors of this 4 Bedroom 3 Bath home sets the tone for your vacation experience.

In the great room you immediatly take note of the custom built sofa - designed for this home specifically to enable great converstation (it sits 10-12 persons) This is the hub of the home and you can watch a movie or just have great conversation while watching the pool area outside the large bay windows.

The master suite with a King bed is sure to relax and rest you with its open space and clean lines. Mounted on the wall is a large flat screen TV. The on-sutie bath has a jetted soaking tub as well as a private shower with multiple heads and large walk-in closet. This room sleeps 1-2 persons.

The first guest suite offers a gueen bed with its own TV. This room is a quiet spot in the home and the window opens up to the front court yard. It has a 3/4 bath next to it. (Semi-private) This room sleeps 1-2 persons.


The second guest suite offers a comfortable queen bed and flat screen TV. This suite shares a bath with the bunk room guests. The bathroom is a full bath with a tub/sower combination.

The back-yard pool retreat space is ideal for year round enjoyment. This in-ground covered pool and spa are built next to the covered patio offering a great environment to play and relax in and aroun the pool. There is a small shamoo-shel area for little ones as well as a deep end for the adults. This pool can be heated in the cooler months too - so there is no bad time of year to enjoy. The owners have equiped the BBQ area with a grill and lounge chairs to enjoy the pool side area.

One of our favorite features of the home is the 360 degree vistas from the observation deck - where one can sit and enjoy a sunset and star gazing with friends. A quick trip up a spiral staircase opens up to a deck overlooking the pool below. The owners have added a custom table and rocker chairs - very comfortable and a great place to build friendships.

(NOTE: There is No Diving Permited from the deck to the pool)

The home is located next to the Lake - you can't get any closer to the lake unless you're camping at the lake. Yes - bring the side-by-sides, the wave runners and ATV's and enjoy the sand dunes, the lake and refresh in your own private pool at the end of the day!

Check-out time is promptly at 11:00 am. Late check- outs will not be allowed unless prior approval is giving and there is availability.

Boats, Trailers and RV Parking: Will vary from property to property. 



Pets are NOT allowed on this property EXCEPT Service Pets. Any pet or presence of an unauthorized pet will result in a $300 fine. If you have a Service Pet you must provide certifiable documentation and place a $150 Pet deposit that is fully refundable after checking out.

Using the premises for any illegal activity including, but not limited to, the possession, serving or consumption of alcoholic beverages by or to persons less than 21 years of age.  Any tenant who is found using drugs or allows others to use drugs on the premises will be immediately denied continued occupancy at these premises.

Please bring anything special required for your family needs.  A few recommendations would be: coffee, coffee filters and spices. There is a complimentary starter kit of dish soap, dish washing packs, toilet tissue, papers towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and laundry pods. If additional toiletries are needed that is the guest’s responsibility to provide additional items if the starter supply runs out. If you use something of the owners, please replace it before leaving.

An open park with a Pavilion, Splash Pad an Playground Sienna Hills Park (Splash Pad).  Sienna Hills Park is about a quarter mile away.  It is in the same subdivision as the Casitas.

Within a half mile there is a Highly Rated Bike/Hike Trail called Hell Hole Trail.

The Pondarosa is located in Leeds Utah! Literally just minutes from our beautiful Zion National Park! Perfect for any family vacation whether it be adventure, a private getaway, or to bask in the Southren Utah sun!

This propery has three buildings surrounding the pool.

The Main House:

Master suite with a king bed, private on-suite bath. Sleeps 1-2 persons. Private exit to a veranda overlooking the valley and the peaks in Zion NP (Kolob Entrance)

Guest Room 1 - Queen bed, shared bath right off the kitchen. Sleeps 1-2 persons

Guest Room 2 (The Den), Access to the shared bath. Near the kitchen. Sleeps 1-2 persons on a hide-a-bed. Door opens to the pool/hot tub.

Guest Room 3 - Queen bed with shared bath with guest room 4 is off the large family room and away from the kitchen. This room has its own exit to the pool area.

Guest room 4 - Queen bed plus a crib (if needed). Sleeps 1-2 person and access to a shared bath. This room is next to the huge family room.

The family room has a large TV for watching sports. There is a game table and fire place to bring charm to the solid wood beams of this southwest rustic ranch house.

The primary kitchen is in the main house with tons of seating at the table, bar and the mini-table. There is also a wrap around patio with a waterfall overlooking nearly 5 acres of private fun. The kitchen looks out over the sports/tennis court.

The Casita - Pool House.

This space has a second full kitchen and sits directly across the pool area from the main house. This is a one bedroom bungalow with a queen bed and one bath. There is a hide-a-bed in the great room of the pool house too for others to sleep. This space sleeps 1-4 persons comfortable. Up to 6 may be possible using the sofas.

Bunk House!

This is the kids retreat and game-haven and fun zone! The bunk house has a queen bed as well as bed mats for 1-6 more people, there is a full theater room to enjoy a western classic or a new release.

Theres a game table, fuse ball game and lots of other fun things for you here to cook up!

The bunk house has a powder bath only - showers/baths will have to be done in the main house.

Sports and Games - In addtion to a fun play pool and large hot tub, this home includes a fully lit basketball court that doubles as a pickle ball and tennis court. Theres a regulation size horshoe pit to that is a blast for all ages to challange each other at. Outsid the pool area is a playground for the kiddos! And you can't forget the amazing view of towering mountains in colors of red and white with the blue sky above. This home truly has EVERYTHING.

Brng the ATV's down. There is excellent riding in the near by 'Babylon' area of the Red Cliffs Reserve to be explored or near by Warner Valley OHV Park or Sand Hollow state park.
